Introduction
Hello everyone! This is Profit Rental, a service for renting agency accounts for In-app and social media.
Today, together with Boomerang Media, we will demonstrate how much profit can be earned by running traffic through Moloco, a DSP network with smart optimization that purchases traffic from a variety of In-app sources (IronSource, Unity, Applovin, Bigo, Mintegral, Chatboost, Sharelt, etc.).
Who are Boomerang Media?
Boomerang Media is a dynamically developing team of experienced CPA specialists specializing in the gambling and betting vertical. Since 2016, the team has been continuously growing and expanding the boundaries of performance marketing.

How many total costs did you get?
One advertising cabinet and one Moloco DSP source account were used. The total cost was \$71,000 (including the Profit Rental commission, but excluding the cost of creatives and app rentals). Some of the creatives were designed by in-house designers, while others were outsourced, but these costs were minimal and accounted for approximately 1% of the cabinet's expenses.
How did you set up, optimize, and scale your PPC campaigns?

Since this was the first time we were launching this source, the Profit Rental actively helped with the setup, shared tips, and oversaw the launch. They provided valuable recommendations on targeting options:
— Geo-targeting;
— OS Android (without version restrictions, as not all apps collect OS version data. If you set a restriction, the ads will simply not appear in those apps, which will narrow your reach and increase your ad costs);
— Excluding the category of children's apps.
The bidding strategy was set to automatic using the Average Budget strategy with the desired average daily budget set. The payment was made per thousand impressions (CPM), and the average cost per lead was $78.
Campaign optimization was carried out mainly through creatives and blacklists. The guys from Profit Rental also suggested that it is best to run advertising campaigns with optimization for in-app events (deposits).
The first and most important thing is the creatives, which we will show you examples of below.
The second and third are Exchange (SSP) and Inventory. We performed sampling and optimization each time for our own bundle, as something that works on one geo may not work on another.
Exchange (SSP): During the work process, we disabled less effective sources that showed unprofitable results, even on good and proven creatives.
Inventory (advertising applications): publishers with an expensive registration fee (as an intermediate event in the funnel) or publishers with expensive deposits or no deposits at all were sent to the blacklist.
Since Moloco is a DSP network that has a large number of sources, 9 Exchange (SSP) sources and about 15 Inventory (App) applications were disabled and sent to the blacklist in order to scale traffic, as they did not show their effectiveness and did not bring registrations and deposits at the optimal price.
Which creative approaches have proven to be the most effective?
All possible creative formats were used*, and various approaches were tested, including:
  • Native videos;
  • Emotions + SMS;
  • News formats
  • User cases
  • Interfaces of popular top games by brand and GEO.

Which app design has proven to be the most effective?
During the work, we used three Android apps. The longest-lived app successfully ran the entire advertising campaign, while the average lifespan of apps is usually 2-3 weeks.
The design of the apps was universal, without being tied to specific slots or brands. The design used simple visual solutions with the theme of countries, girls and slots.

There were about 22,498 installs, 8,161 registrations, and 905 deposits. CR from install to reg 36%, CR from reg to deposit 11%.
